12v Power

Electrical heated clothing which are powered by a 12v power system of a vehicel

Our 12v products are designed to be powered by a 12VDC electrical system by a simple connection to the vehicle’s battery or through a 12-volt accessory outlet. A motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV, boat, automobile, golf cart or even an airplane can be used to power all or some of our heated products.

7v Power

Our 7v products are designed to be powered by rechargeable lithium battery packs. These products are not designed to be powered by a 12-volt electrical system and allow you the freedom to stay warm almost anywhere.


12v Hybrid Power

Hybride power with a 12v battery with built in temp controller for gerbing's heated clothing

Gerbing’s products that utilize the Hybrid Heating System allow you the option of obtaining your power through a rechargeable 12-volt battery pack or through a 12-volt electrical system.

The CORE HEAT TRANSFER SYSTEM™ product line uses a combination of our patented Microwire™ or Nanowire™ heating technologies in conjunction with high powered, but small and lightweight microprocessor-managed 7v Lithium battery packs that are rechargeable for over 500 cycles. Gerbing's Core Heat series of heated products are designed to prevent the body's physiological response of vasoconstriction that occurs when colder temperatures are detected and the nervous system restricts blood flow to the extremities. The Core Heat Transfer System allows you to maintain blood flow and a constant level of thermal comfort preventing vasoconstriction.


Interconnected System

All of our 12v heated clothing products form a true interconnected system in which every item connects to everything else. You can wear a jacket, gloves, pants, and socks with only a single connection to your battery. For example, our gloves and socks plug into our three-prong connecting harness or directly into our pants or jacket.

Heating Technologies

Gerbing's Heated Clothing products include a variety of high density heating technologies engineered to create a specific amount of heat. These different technologies are then strategically located to produce a natural and balanced heat output, surrounding the body with warmth. The heating technologies we use vary depending on the product, how it is going to be used, the heat output and the power level requirements. Our years of experience have allowed us to develop and patent the most efficient and durable heating technologies that provide the greatest heat transfer. Our goal is to provide you with a product that incorporates the most unobtrusive but effective heating technology that will last a lifetime.



GHC High Density Heat™ Technology

Our classic heating system which has been refined throughout the years that utilizes insulated resistant copper heating wire that is sewn into fabric heating panels and then placed into the garment. Engineered for use in higher wattage drawing products that are to be powered by the 12v electrical system of a vehicle. GHC High Density heat products provide the most heat output and coverage but also require more power.

Microwire™ Heat Technology

Microwire heat technology from gerbing's heated clothing

Incorporates our patented process of using micro-sized stainless steel fibers that are intertwined and encased in a Teflon coating. The Microwire™ is then woven into a heating matrix that is then placed in the garment. This system is the most durable and efficient heating technology ever developed. Microwire™ heating technology is used both in 7v and 12v products.

Nanowire™ Heat Technology

Utilizes our patented process of using silvered fibers that are then stitched into a non-woven fabric where it is then waterproof sealed. Very customizable heating technology that allows us to engineer very specific heat output to specifically targeted areas. Used in both 7v and 12v applications.

GHC High Density Carbon Fiber
Heat Technology

GHC high density carbon fiber heat technology from gerbing's heated clothing

Uses safe, low-power infrared rays to transmit heat throughout the carbon fiber heating elements that are sealed in panels and then placed into the product. Economical heating technology that is designed to provide high heat in smaller concentrated areas. Carbon fiber heating technology is used for lower drawing battery operated products only.
