Portable Batteries for Heated Clothing

Gerbing's offers a variety of heated products designed to be operated by different power sources. Some can be powered by the 12v electrical system of a vehicle or by a 12v battery pack while others are designed to be powered specifically by a 7v battery pack.



12V Lithium Polymer Batteries & Chargers

The 8,0 Amps Lithium Polymer 12v battery pack comes complete with a charger and battery belt and carrying case. The battery is lightweight (600 grams), very thin and can power Gerbing's 12v heated products that do not exceed a maximum 60 watts (5 amps) draw. The battery comes in with a built-in five level temperature controller and a power level indicator that displays how much charge remains in the battery. The charger will charge the battery in approximately 5 hours and be recharged for hundreds of cycles.

The 4.0 Lithium Polymer 12v battery pack weighs less than 270 grams and can power Gerbing's 12v heated products that do not exceed a maximum 48 watts (4 amps) draw.
The battery comes in with a built-in five level temperature controller and a power level indicator that displays how much charge remains in the battery. The charger will charge the battery in approximately 5 hours and be recharged for hundreds of cycles.

All of Gerbing's battery packs are rechargeable for over 500 cycles. The number of amps the battery provides per hour measures the capacity of a battery. The duration of heat per product will depend on the size and type of battery, or batteries, and what product is being powered.

The listed duration time for each battery will power these products with a continuous draw. The use of either a Temp-Controller, or an on/off switch, regulates the heat output, which greatly reduces the overall power draw and extends battery use per charge. Our lithium battery packs come with a built-in temperature control that allows you to adjust the heat output level and increase your battery life per charge.

Remember that battery capacity decreases in very cold weather, especially if the battery is not insulated, and is left exposed to the elements. At less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit a battery may only produce 80% of its capacity.

Warning: It is important that you charge your battery regularly and that you maintain at least 25% of your battery power when not in use or left idle. Batteries must only be used with products with an amp rating less than the maximum capacity output rating for the battery. Lithium battery packs can be recharged at any time.
